ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Jewish Home has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a “Best Nursing Home” for 2026, for the eighth consecutive year. This honor recognizes Jewish Home’s Long-Term Care and Short-Term Rehabilitation with the highest-possible ratings.

The “Best Nursing Home” ratings are based on a detailed analysis of the country’s 15,000 skilled nursing facilities — with U.S. News using “in-depth, unbiased analyses of the best data available to help consumers make important health-care decisions.” Jewish Home is one of only three of the 49 skilled nursing facilities in the Rochester area to earn the highest recognition of “High Performing” for both Long-Term Care and Short-Term Rehabilitation, ranking among the top 12% across New York State.

Long-Term Care is assessed on eight quality measures, including staffing, medical outcomes, resident feedback, vaccinations, and appropriate use of medications. The Short-Term Rehabilitation ratings are based on an assessment of nine quality measures, using data from the federal government’s Care Compare program, such as staffing levels, medical outcomes, and resident feedback.

“This recognition as a ‘Best Nursing Home’ by U.S. News & World Report for both Long-Term Care and Short-Term Rehabilitation is a testament to Jewish Home’s commitment to providing the highest quality, compassionate care to the people we serve,” said Michele Schirano, Senior Vice President and Administrator at Jewish Home.

Earlier this year U.S. News & World Report recognized Jewish Home for “Best Care Services 2025”; “Best Independent Living 2025” for The Summit Independent Living; and “Best Assisted Living 2025″ for Wolk Manor Assisted Living.
