(Nov. 7, 2024 – ROCHESTER, NY) Jewish Home was once again named in Fortune Magazine as a Best Small and Medium Workplace in Aging Services for Senior Housing and Care. The continuing care retirement community ranked No. 14 and is the only organization on the list in New York State. Fortune partnered with Great Place to Work® to analyze survey feedback from 181,000 employees across the U.S.
Great Place to Work® uses a proprietary Trust Index™ survey to measure key indicators of great workplaces—behaviors that establish trust and connection with management, colleagues, and overall loyalty to the company. Companies must also be certified as a Great Place to Work™—a designation Jewish Home received for the 5th time in July. With employee feedback driving the rankings, surveys must meet strict distribution and response requirements to ensure they accurately represent honest feedback from the company’s full population.
In the survey, one employee noted that the rewards at Jewish Home are one of the most generous they have had in their many years of employment.
“It’s been a tremendous honor to be recognized for 5 years as a Great Place to Work®,” says Michael S. King, President and Chief Executive Officer at Jewish Senior Life. He continues, “Healthcare workers continue to be in demand, and we are very grateful that our employees choose to work for us and speak so highly of their experience. We are committed to investing in our staff and creating an environment that supports employees with great benefits and perks like our new Employee Grocery Store.”
“We are thrilled that close to 90 percent of our employees say that Jewish Home is a great place to work”, says Christine Van Vessem, Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Quality. She continues, “This reflects Jewish Home’s ongoing dedication to creating a workplace where employees feel valued and empowered to make a positive impact every day.”
