Jewish Home Celebrates Staff at Inaugural Shirley & Morris Carr Employee Recognition Award Ceremony
July 2, 2025—Jewish Home proudly honored 16 outstanding team members at the first-ever Shirley and Morris Carr Employee Recognition Award Ceremony.
This meaningful award was established by Jerry Carr and his wife Toni, in memory of Jerry’s parents, Shirley and Morris Carr. The Carrs were deeply grateful for the care Shirley received as a resident at Jewish Home and wanted to give back by establishing a fund to recognize the outstanding employees and the care they provide.
This annual award celebrates employees who go above and beyond in their dedication to residents and their families, making a lasting impact through compassion, professionalism, and heartfelt service.
In its first year, 18 nominations were submitted, recognizing 16 deserving employees, nominated by their peers, residents, and families.
Congratulations to this year’s three award recipients!
1st place: Shannon W., Adir
2nd place: Emma F., Music Therapist
3rd place: Damber B., CNA Lead Preceptor
“We can’t thank Jerry and Toni enough for establishing the Carr Recognition Program in honor and memory of Jerry’s parents,” said Thomas McDade Clay, Executive Director of the Jewish Home Foundation. “Every day, our dedicated staff work tirelessly to provide the best care possible for those we are privileged to serve. Thanks to Jerry and Toni, we now have another meaningful way to celebrate that dedication, recognizing employees who go above and beyond in all they do.”
