Jewish Home Celebrates Staff at Annual Leon Rosen Exceptional Customer Service Awards

(October 30, 2025- Rochester, NY) Jewish Home recently celebrated employees who provide outstanding service to skilled nursing residents at the annual Leon Rosen Exceptional Customer Service Awards.

Established by Leon Rosen’s children and their families, the award recognizes and inspires employees who go above and beyond to enhance the lives of residents and patients through exceptional care and service.

One of Leon Rosen’s favorite sayings was, “Take an extra second and do it right.” The awards carry forward his belief that anything worth doing is worth doing well, and they continue to honor the dedication and compassion shown by Jewish Home staff each day.

There were 28 nominations submitted by families, residents, and peers. Christine Van Vessem, Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Quality, shared, “Thanks to the generous fund from the Rosen family, we are able to honor employees whose integrity, compassion, and dedication inspire others and elevate our organization. Celebrating those who consistently ‘do the right thing’ has made a meaningful impact on our culture and community here at Jewish Home.”

This year’s winners were Kaitlyn M., LPN, Cleavonda L., LPN; Ashley H., LPN II and Yolanda M., LPN Clinical Coordinator.

A special recognition, the Superstar Award, is given to an employee who has been nominated multiple times over the years. This year’s Superstar Award was presented to Joan O., CNA.

Leon Rosen’s daughter, Ellen Rose Konar, joined the celebration to offer heartfelt remarks to the nominees. Her words were a reminder of the lasting impact that kindness, integrity, and dedication have on the lives of our residents. We are proud to honor employees who embody these values and uphold the spirit of exceptional service that defines Jewish Home.
