(September 30, 2025 – Rochester, NY) – Jewish Home recently recognized 10 outstanding employees at Wolk Manor Assisted Living during the annual Brodsky-Grossman Employee Recognition Awards. Honorees were celebrated for their dedication and exceptional service to the residents who call Wolk Manor home, with nominations submitted by residents and families.
“We are so grateful for the opportunity to recognize and honor the wonderful employees of Wolk Manor who go above and beyond in providing care to the residents. Our sincere thanks to the Brodsky and Grossman families for making this recognition and celebration possible,” said Thomas McDade Clay, executive director of the Jewish Home Foundation.
The Brodsky-Grossman Employee Recognition Award was established in 2001 by Alan Brodsky and Eileen and Michael Grossman through a generous grant from the Brodsky-Grossman Foundation. Each year, residents and family members are invited to nominate Wolk Manor employees who demonstrate exceptional dedication beyond their everyday responsibilities.
This year’s award was presented to Hamid K., a resident assistant who has been part of the Wolk Manor team since 2019. With more than 23 years of experience in the health care field, Hamid lives by the belief: “When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”
As Team Lead for both the day and evening shifts, Hamid plays a vital role in overseeing daily operations. His responsibilities include supporting all aspects of resident care, managing medication administration and ordering, and providing supervision and guidance for team members.
Hamid is known for his reliability and dedication. “Family members and residents really count on Hamid to get things done, follow up on anything that needs it, and find a solution to any problem. He is never too busy to help out another staff member or lend an extra hand to a resident,” said Kathy Murray-McGhan, Director of Wolk Manor.
His commitment was especially evident during his recent trip back to his home country of Morocco. “Hamid was sorely missed—his absence was felt by everyone, and we all counted the days until his return,” Murray-McGhan added.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Hamid and to all of this year’s nominees. Their dedication, compassion, and commitment make Wolk Manor a truly special place to call home.
