ROCHESTER, N.Y., November 26, 2018 — Jewish Home announces that it has earned its third consecutive three-year CARF accreditation for inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services from CARF International, an independent, nonprofit accrediting body of continuing care retirement communities and similar human services organizations. The Jewish Home of Rochester is the only Rochester-area skilled nursing rehabilitation program to have earned this accreditation for high quality and customer satisfaction.
The accreditation process applies CARF’s internationally recognized standards during an on-site survey conducted by peer surveyors. Accreditation is an ongoing process that distinguishes a provider’s service delivery and signals to the public that the provider is committed to continuous performance improvement, responsible to feedback, and accountable to the community and its other stakeholders.
“This achievement is an indication of dedication and commitment to improving the quality of lives of persons served,” noted CARF International President and CEO Brian Boon, Ph.D. “Services, personnel and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of conformance to standards.”
“We’re very proud to be recognized by CARF for high quality medical care and for our commitment to person-centered care, for those of all faiths,” said Jewish Home President and CEO Michael King. “Our mission since 1920 has been to help older adults thrive in an atmosphere of respect, compassion and individuality, and this accreditation affirms our achievements.”
CARF accreditation has been the recognized benchmark of quality health and human services for more than 50 years.
