Jewish Home Board Members Selected for Nationally Recognized Jewish Leadership Program

ROCHESTER, N.Y., March 5, 2019 — Jewish Home is proud to announce that two of its board members – Dr. Irena Pesis-Katz and Marc Reich – were selected to join Rochester’s inaugural class of The Wexner Heritage Program. The Wexner Heritage Program was established to expand the vision of Jewish volunteer leaders, deepen their Jewish knowledge and confidence and inspire them to exercise transformative leadership in the Jewish community. Nearly 1,800 leaders from 33 North American cities have participated in the program since it began in 1985.

“We’re so proud that Irena and Marc will have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and connections with Judaism, so they can help guide us as we continue to enhance the quality of life, health, and well-being of people in our community, consistent with the values and traditions of our Jewish heritage,” said Mike King, president and CEO of Jewish Home.

Pesis-Katz is the senior director for Population Health Management Informatics and Payment Innovation at the University of Rochester Medical Center and has been an acclaimed teacher and researcher for nearly 20 years. She has served as a Jewish Home board member since 2015.

Reich is the director of corporate systems and applications at Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and is a proven leader in IT Enterprise Application Development and Business Relationship Management. Reich has served on the Jewish Home board since 2017, and previously served on the board of directors for the Jewish Federation, and as president of the board of directors for Jewish Family Services.
