Rochester, NY, October 10, 2019 – The Jewish Home of Rochester, an affiliate of Jewish Home, has been recognized by Newsweek’s America’s Best Nursing Homes 2020. Only three percent of nursing homes nationwide received this distinction.
Newsweek partnered with global data research firm Statista Inc. to establish the ranking, analyzing over 15,000 nursing homes throughout the United States. The award is based on information from two sources: a reputation survey of industry experts (including registered nurses, administrators, and physicians) as well as data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
“The need for safe and reliable elder care is only growing,” said Nancy Cooper, Newsweek’s Global Editor-In-Chief. “Beloved elders deserve the best care their families can provide. We hope the rankings can help make these difficult decisions easier.”
“It’s so important for a family to find the right nursing home for their loved one,” said Mike King, President and CEO of Jewish Home. “At the Jewish Home, we welcome all faiths, and hold ourselves to the highest standards. Our staff works hard to make sure we’re providing exceptional health care and enhancing the lives of each of our residents. We are honored to be known as one of the best in the nation.”
The Jewish Home has served the Rochester community for nearly 100 years.
