Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update March 26, 2020

Memo sent to Jewish Home Families and Friends from Marie Aydelotte, MD Medical Director and  Michele Schirano, Administrator

Re: Visitation at the Jewish Home

Due to our extreme concern about the Covid-19 virus spread in our community, we are placing further limits on family visits to residents at the Jewish Home. Please be aware that EVERY VISIT from a community individual significantly increases the risk of our frail residents contracting the virus.

As you are aware, we already have some visitor restrictions in place. As of March 26, family members of hospice patients will ONLY be allowed to visit on Wednesdays between the hours of 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM. One visitor will be allowed at a time, and we ask you to restrict to no more than two hours per visit. Your name must be on an approved visitor list to enter the facility.

All visitors must wear a mask (available at concierge desk), and may visit with their loved one ONLY in the resident’s room.

We sincerely regret having to make this decision. We are doing our utmost to keep all Jewish Home visits as safe as possible during this difficult time.

Thank you in advance for understanding.
