Jewish Home Achieves CARF International Accreditation

(JULY 20, 2023 – ROCHESTER, NY) Jewish Senior Life has once again achieved a 5-year term of accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services. CARF accreditation centers on enhancing the lives of the individuals served and has been the recognized benchmark of quality, health, and human services for more than 50 years. The results of the survey, conducted in June, awarded Jewish Home a 5-year accreditation for the following lines of business:

  • Adult Day Services – Adult Day Health Care
  • Assisted Living – Wolk Manor & The Lodge
  • Continuing Care Retirement Community – The Summit at Brighton
  • Dementia Care Specialty Program – The Jewish Home
  • Person-Centered Long Term Care – The Jewish Home

“For over 100 years, we have been dedicated to enhancing the quality of life, health, and well-being for those we serve,” says Michael S. King, Jewish Senior Life President and CEO. He continues, “It’s a tremendous honor to once again receive this accreditation—it affirms our commitment to creating an atmosphere of person-centered care, respect, compassion, innovation, and individuality where older adults can thrive.”

Jewish Senior Life is the only Rochester-area organization, and one of only six in New York State, to have earned this recognition. With a rigorous peer review process, the accreditation represents the highest level that can be given, and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to over 1500 CARF standards. Jewish Home demonstrated to a team of surveyors its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
