Employees celebrating 10-45 years of service

(Apr. 1, 2024—ROCHESTER, NY) Last week, Jewish Senior Life honored 73 employees for their milestone work anniversaries—a total of 840 years—during its annual Years of Service awards. Among those being honored included Donald Griffin, Certified Nursing Assistant, for 45 years of service. Kimberly Searles, Licensed Practical Nurse, and Michele Schirano, Registered Nurse and Administrator of the Jewish Home, were also honored for 30 years of service.

“I started working at the Jewish Home as a nurse,” says Schirano. “It’s been a wonderful privilege to grow my career here, as well as to mentor and develop our clinical workforce to provide the best care possible for our residents.”

“Our Years of Service awards recognize our employees’ care and dedication to our residents and families,” says Christine Van Vessem, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Quality at Jewish Senior Life, who celebrated her 15-year milestone at the event. She continues, “We have the opportunity to enjoy a meal together and celebrate their milestone achievements. We are so grateful for all they do every day—their commitment allows us to have a tremendous and positive impact on the lives of the people we serve.”
