Jewish Home Executive Chef Inducted into American Academy of Chefs

(JUNE 25, 2024 – ROCHESTER, NY)  Jewish Home is proud to announce that its esteemed culinary team member, Executive Chef David Kasper, Sr., has been inducted into the American Academy of Chefs (AAC), the prestigious honor society of the American Culinary Federation (ACF). Chef Kasper, traveled to Phoenix, Arizona to receive this honor at the ACF National Convention.

Kasper joined Jewish Home in 2022 and has been lauded for his commitment to ongoing staff training and development, as well as his innovative approach to cuisine. “Chef David has elevated the dining experience for Jewish Home’s Summit Independent Living and Wolk Manor Assisted Living communities,” says Wendy Ferrer, Senior Vice President of Housing and Marketing at Jewish Home. She adds, “This achievement is a testament to his exceptional talent, dedication, and contributions to the culinary world. We are immensely proud to have him on our team.”

Kasper is the current president of the local ACF chapter—The Professional Chefs of Rochester—where he is a past member of the education committee and held office as the Sergeant of Arms. Additionally, he was recently accepted into Worldchefs (World Association of Chefs Societies) and received their World Certified Executive Chef designation. Kasper has also received his Certified Executive Chef (CEC) and Certified Culinary Administrator (CCA) certifications from the ACF in addition to being an ACF Certification Evaluator and ServSafe consultant.
