(Nov. 14, 2024 – ROCHESTER, NY) Jewish Home celebrated nine dedicated employees at the annual Arthur & Louise Wasserman Employee Recognition Awards.
The award was founded in 1984 by Arthur Wasserman and his three sisters in honor of their aunts, Sarah Lehrer and Dorothy Silver. Sarah and Dorothy were residents of the Jewish Home and received outstanding care from compassionate staff. The annual awards are made possible through the generosity of the Wassermans through Jewish Home Foundation; and they allow peers to celebrate top performers who exceed expectations and provide superior care every day.
Jewish Home received a total of 109 nominations for 87 nominees. The nominees are recognized by the co-workers and supervisors with whom they interact on a daily basis. The 2024 award winners are employed in a variety of roles across the Jewish Home campus:
- Dining Services Award — Francine Mathis, Cook

- Environmental Services Award — Rosemarie Peyton, Environmental Services Team Lead

“Each year, it’s our sincere pleasure to recognize employees across the campus for the exceptional care they provide to the people we serve,” says Christine Van Vessem, Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Quality. She continues, “These awards honor employees who make a profound impact on our residents, patients, and program members—going above and beyond each day to exhibit outstanding performance in their work.”
