Jewish Home Named a 2025 Best Nursing Home by U.S. News & World Report
Recognized for both Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care

(Nov. 25, 2024 – ROCHESTER, NY) Jewish Home has been named a Best Nursing Home for a seventh year by U.S. News & World Report. Both Short-Term Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care received ratings at the highest level in the “High Performing” category.  Only 19% of nearly 15,000 skilled nursing facilities nationwide earned this distinction in even one of those categories.

Of the 600 nursing homes in New York State, 44 achieved a “High Performing” rating in both categories. Jewish Home was one of only two nursing homes in the Rochester region to earn this distinction.

“We are honored to be recognized again this year as a Best Nursing Home by U.S. News & World Report,” says Michele Schirano, Senior Vice President and Administrator at Jewish Home. She continues, “Receiving this distinction for both Long-Term Care and Short-Term Rehabilitation is a testament to Jewish Home’s commitment of providing quality, compassionate care to the people we serve. Earning this achievement year after year reinforces the high quality of life we provide at Jewish Home and across our continuum of care.”

The annual Best Nursing Homes ratings are based on an assessment of quality measures including resident care, safety and outcomes. The ratings assist prospective residents and their families in making informed decisions, in consultation with their medical professionals, about where to receive short-term and long-term nursing care.
