Rochester, NY, March 28, 2019 – Jewish Home has been awarded a Top Workplaces 2019 honor by The Democrat and Chronicle. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution, and connection, just to name a few.
“Top Workplaces is more than just recognition,” said Doug Claffey, CEO of Energage. “Our research shows organizations that earn the award attract better talent, experience lower turnover, and are better equipped to deliver bottom-line results. Their leaders prioritize and carefully craft a healthy workplace culture that supports employee engagement.”
“We are honored to receive the Top Workplaces award for the third year in a row,” said Mike King, President and CEO of Jewish Home. “A heartfelt ‘thank you’ to our dedicated employees, as they continue to serve our residents and community with purpose and passion and enhance our residents’ quality of life, health and well-being every day.”
In addition to being recognized as a Top Workplace, the organization was also honored the “Ambassador Award”. This award recognizes the organization and its employees for demonstrating superior passion and positive energy as they endorse the benefits of being a Top Workplace.
Jewish Home is one of the largest non-profit employers in Rochester, with more than 1,000 employees. “We are like a family, a place where our staff and residents build relationships each and every day as we celebrate our workplace,” said Emy Giacalone, Senior Vice President Human Resources/Staff & OD. “This award symbolizes the dedication of our employees and all they mean to our organization.”
“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” Claffey said. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
