Memo sent to all Jewish Home families, from Michele Schirano, RN, Administrator, Susan Bussey, Senior Vice President of Housing, Dr. Marie Aydelotte, Chief Medical Officer
Our first positive case of COVID-19 has been identified with a patient on our short-term rehabilitation floor. The patient was admitted into a private room and put on isolation precautions, which are protocols we have enacted. This means that all new admissions on our campus are treated as if they are on isolation. Staff must wear personal protective equipment when entering the room of a new admission and meals are delivered to the private room as well.
We have notified public health officials and are following procedures recommended by the Centers for Disease and Prevention (CDC) and the New York State Department of Health. We are taking every step as recommended by authorities to control the spread. We want to assure everyone we are in control of the situation.
We know that you may have questions so we have scheduled an informational call-in where we will be providing an update and answering questions. All listeners will be muted during the duration of the call. You must email your questions in advance to covidquestions@jewishhomeroc.org.
