Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update April 13, 2020

Dear Jewish Home Families,

We hope that you are all doing well. Please know we are thinking of you in these unprecedented times. We have all been adjusting to a new routine and figuring out creative ways to engage in activities and connect with our loved ones. Currently we are offering a robust schedule of programming on our internal Channel 71, one-on-one visits from our Recreation, Music and Art Therapists, outside strolls, Hallway Bingo and video calls to our loved ones.

Starting Monday, April 13th we will be offering window visits! This is a specific time for you to visit with your loved one in a designated area. Visits will be by appointment only and offered Monday–Friday between 9:45 am-4:30 pm. You will need to call your Therapeutic Recreation Specialist to set up an appointment. (See list below.) Appointments will be scheduled for 15 minute increments and offered once weekly for each of our residents. We have many loved ones that would like to participate and we still need to maintain social distancing. When you call to set up your appointment you can discuss if this will be an appropriate way to visit with your loved one.

Designated Visiting Areas:

  • North Entrance Vestibule (Entrance by the Gift Shop/Sokol Porch)
  • South Entrance Vestibule (Entrance by the Sands Center/Outpatient Rehab)
  • Green House Cottages Vestibule

For questions, please contact Meghan Bevins, Director of Therapeutic Recreation, at 585-784-6551.
