Jewish Home Presents Arthur & Louise Wasserman Employee Recognition Awards

(December 16, 2022 – ROCHESTER, NY) On Thursday, December 15, Jewish Home presented 9 employees with Arthur & Louise Wasserman Employee Recognition Awards. The awards were founded in 1984 by Arthur Wasserman and his three sisters. Staff are honored at an annual reception hosted at Jewish Home of Rochester, an affiliate of Jewish Home. Nominees are recognized by the co-workers and supervisors with whom they interact on a daily basis. The 2022 awardees are employed in a variety of roles across the Jewish Home campus:

  • Dining Services Award — Cathy Luxon, Baker
  • Direct Services Award — Mary Baxter, Concierge
  • Environmental Services Award — San Gurung, Housekeeper
  • Indirect Services Award — Lisa DiMora, Accounts Receivable Supervisor
  • Nursing Award — Laura Koehl, LPN
  • Nursing Award — Kristine Connelly, LPN Clinical Coordinator
  • Nursing Assistant Award — Vanessa Weems, CNA
  • Nursing Assistant Award — Samuel Abera, CNA
  • Supervisor Award — Alex Groat, Executive Chef

“These awards recognize employees who go above and beyond each day to demonstrate extraordinary performance in their work and service to those in our care,” says Thomas McDade Clay, Executive Director of Jewish Senior Life Foundation. He continues, “The Wasserman family was inspired to make the gift in honor of their aunts, Sarah Lehrer and Dorothy Silver. Sarah and Dorothy were residents of the Jewish Home and benefited from the compassionate care provided by our dedicated and attentive staff. The Wasserman awards are a way for peers to celebrate outstanding members of the team who are willing to go the extra mile for the people we serve.”
