OACES: Community leaders want adult learning program funding restored

13WHAM – Community leaders including the Rochester Teachers Association, Action for a Better Community, Roc Acts, Rochester Community of Churches and members of Jewish Home gathered on Tuesday pushing the city school district to restore over a million dollars back into the programs budget.

Brighton-Pittsford Post – Herb was known for growing tomatoes and bringing them to residents who were not able to come outside. Now the tradition continues, as the herbs grown in this new garden will be used in meals at the Summit.

Brighton-Pittsford Post – On Father’s Day, independent living residence the Summit at Brighton honored Herb Ouzer, a former resident, by planting an herb garden in his name. Herb lived at the Summit at Brighton for four years before passing away in 2014 at age 100.
